AY-J100 & AY-J101 PIN Diode Switch Assemblies |
|
Aeroflex introduces a new series of high power PIN diode switch assemblies for use as antenna horizontal orvertical polarization for radio applications in the 2 GHz range, up to 20 GHz.
The switch assemblies are SPDTconfiguration and accepts a transceiver input, and connects one or two antenna outputs, eitherone at a time, orboth simultane-ously, with the desired switchable 90 degree phase off-sets.

RF SWITCH MODULE |
 |
Model BY-1923 RF Switch Module is a bi-directional, 12 port subassembly used to divide and/or attenuate an RFsignal from single port (labeled Radio port A), to or from anyof 11different ports. Sixof these ports (labeledPorts C, D, F, H, J) offer variable attenuation of
0 to 80 dB in 1dB increments. The other Five ports (labeled B,E, G, K, M) provide a fixed attenuation.

SUBSYSTEM
/ MANUFACTURING DESIGN |
|
With
in-house capabilities that include design and
environmental testing, as well as manufacturing
capabilities, Aeroflex / KDI-Integrated Products offers subassembly
design and manufacturing services. A range of
RF/microwave signal/processing components, plus
embedded microprocessor firmware design, helps
reduce the time it takes to create the subassemblies.
Switch matrices are common examples of subassemblies
from Aeroflex / KDI that utilize the performance and multiple
configurations of the SWX series of switches that
allow the matrix to achieve a high level of isolation.
A common use for a switch matrix subassembly is
for testing antenna receiver paths in cellular
and PCS base stations. Insertion loss of a 12-way
matrix is typically 2 dB and the frequency range
is 1.85-1.99 GHz. The maximum VSWR is 1.35 under
all conditions and all circuit RF paths are matched
within ½ dB of each other. The switches are internally
terminated and will drop into the 50W termination
in the "off" position.
